Are you looking for a 'miracle cure' for all the aches and pains you currently experience in life? If so, no form of treatment or therapy by itself will give you an easy fix. Many therapies promise to do just that but yield little return unfortunately. There is, however a very great potential for restoring or significantly improving the normal performance of your body's systems using their functional design. This is true for everyone at any age or in any circumstance. Providing immense relief, from everyday simple aches or pains, acute pain related to accident or injury and long term or chronic pain associated with many disease processes Because our normal anatomical design is so integrated, the body naturally is in a constant state of accommodation and adaptation. When there is a reduction of adequate nutrients and fluids to the body tissues this only serves to force the body to adapt to less productivity and often times produces pain. Pain is a normal 'red flag' to alert us to a problem somewhere. Left untreated or unchallenged a form of maladaptation syndrome often sets in where one area of the body 'adapts' to the changes made in another area. An especially good example of this is the musculo-skeltetal system and and it's subsequent affect on the nervous system and vice versa. 'Tight' (hypertonic) or oxygen deprived muscles produce further constriction of the blood vessels and nerves that pass through them, easily affecting circulation as well as the body's ability to”continued... In fact most people walk through life never knowing what real rest from pain and stiffness feels like, because for them it has become a pattern of their normal life. Literally, we become desensitized to all but the vagueness of 'aches and pains here or there' except where we can attribute our pain to some recent or past injury or circumstance. Real relief only comes when the body is given an opportunity to function as it was originally designed. This is where the classical form of the Bowen Method (described earlier) excels as a therapy. This method of therapy promotes improved circulation of the blood supply to all systems improve the body's overall function. While not directly responsible for providing oxygenated blood to the tissues,The Bowen Method promotes increased circulation by releasing 'tight muscles' which in turn allows them to contract properly, without restriction from a lack of oxygen. This gives the blood vessels and nerve conduction pathways an opportunity to function without muscular restriction and aids in improved lymphatic function by the restoration of normal muscle activity, an absolute necessity for normal movement/function within the lymph system. Thus, tired achy muscles (with what I call 'bad memories') can be released, overall function and balance can be improved or even restored with pain relief achieved. Real relief comes with the re-establishment of "good memories" in these muscles as they support the entirety of the other of the body's systems. As an adjunct to medical care or utilized separately where no disease process exists, this cross fiber neuromuscular form of therapy provides real relief from pain and promotes improved body balance. Some examples of treatable maladaptations are those associated with fibromyalgia, stress and or depression, muscle strains & sprains from a vast multitude of causes, respiratory, digestive, neurological and other systems affected by ongoing long term or chronic disease processes.
